Things To Do in Arundel
Our central location gives guests the opportunity to explore all that Arundel has to offer, without effort. We’re a short walk from Arundel Castle, where you can spend a day exploring. Its magnificent grounds overlook the River Arun, and are well worth visiting for a quiet stroll, or a guided tour of the castle.
The beautiful and atmospheric Arundel Cathedral is also nearby, overlooking the town from its perch on a hill, and popular with visitors keen to explore its architecture and religious art.
A ten-minute drive from the hotel will take you to Amberley Museum. Once the site of a working chalk quarry, the museum is dedicated to preserving the industrial heritage of the South East. Kids will love taking a ride on the museum’s narrow-gauge railway and historic buses.
The Wildfowl and Wetlands Centre is also great for families. A ten-minute drive from The Swan Hotel, the area is home to over 50 wildfowl species. Free boat rides and a magnificent reedbed boardwalk top off a great day out.
We’re a 20-minute drive from the Goodwood Estate, famous for its Festival of Speed and the Goodwood Revival – making us a great base if you’re visiting one of the estate’s annual events. And when the sun’s out, you might want to head to the beach. Some of those close by include Littlehampton, Climbing, Bognor Regis and the Witterings.
